Failure Analysis Technician

• Will be responsible for failure analysis of products at the die and package level; sample preparation such as deprocessing, cross-sectioning, etc.; complete formal failure analysis reports for internal and external distribution; and track and summarize customer field returns.
  Requires: BS degree with minimum 5 years experience in the semiconductor industry preferred. Must be familiar with state-of-the-art CMOS processes; experience with microprobing, Emission Electron Microscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy, and the HP 4145 Parameter Analyzer. Should also be familiar with Teradyne automatic test equipment. Have good technical writhing skills and knowledge of IBM compatible Pcs, MS Word and MS Excel.

Foundry/Yield Enhancement Engineers (Burlington, VT)

• Requires: BSEE, MSEE preferred, plus 5 years front end product engineering and/or wafer fabrication experience. Prior experience qualifying and monitoring new wafer fabrication vendors, assisting in design rule verifications, and participating in defect density reduction and other yield enhancement programs a must. Product Engineers

Product/Test Engineers

• Will implement and maintain production programs including wafer level reliability monitoring, wafer function probe, assembled component full functional/parametric testing, dynamic burn-in and other testing of production part types.

Production Planner

• Take action to achieve output required by customers. Define actions needed to meet committed plan and lead manufacturing's effort to achieve them. Communicate plan to affected Cyrix departments. Coordinate efforts by all departments to maximize customer satisfaction. Coordinate output of material. Champion assembly vendor interface to minimize cycle time and cost.
  Requires: BS; BSIE preferred; Business with a production emphasis or MIS accepted. APICS certification a plus. Requires understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing and order fulfillment processes; ability to program in at least one language; spreadsheet and word processing experience, preferably Windows; and Production and Inventory control theory and application. Production Supervisor

• Will supervise production operators/technicians in a processor back end test and wafer probe facility. Responsibilities include implementing operation and quality specifications, continuous training of operators/technicians, maintaining 99% inventory accuracy, maintaining data integrity for tracking/inventory system, yield reporting, generating capacity analysis and identifying capacity constraints, monitoring equipment utilization and uptime, maintaining test routing flow, generating short term production forecast, and implementing weekly plans and prioritizing material to meet customer demand.
  Requires: BSIE or BSEET; strong communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of world class manufacturing techniques, integrated manufacturing/planning systems, inventory control methods, bar-coding, work-in-process tracking; good problem solving skills; and self-motivation. Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher and good PC skills.

Senior Assembly Engineer

• Monitor and improve assembly yields; liaison with assembly contractors on all technical issues; qualification of assembly processes and packages; involved in decisions on and preparation for next generation technologies; assist in audits of assembly contractors and package vendors, maintenance of assembly specification, including bond diagrams, support Cyrix operations as required in various areas; in-house prototype assembly equipment and process; and monthly travel required.
  Requires: Minimum of 5 years assembly engineering experience; BSME; Expert understanding of assembly equipment and procedures, Knowledge of various package types and techniques (i.e. CPGA, PPGA, MCM, BGA, Flip Chip); Understanding of package and assembly quality and reliability requirements; Basic technical understanding of IC back-end procedures; Understanding of yield enhancement techniques; Expert in spreadsheet and word processing capabilities.
