All systems used in this benchmark study were purchased through retail stores and are available to the general public. All tests were performed by XXCAL, Inc., which is an independent testing laboratory. Benchmark software used was the Ziff-Davis Winstone 97 version 1.0 business benchmark software.

The first series of benchmark comparisons were performed on the above configurations as they were purchased from the retailer. No changes to features or configurations were made. Each system was removed from the box and setup according to the manufacturers instructions. The systems were then booted with the system supplied version of Windows 95. Ziff-Davis Winstone benchmark was loaded. Windows 95 Scan Disk and Defrag utilities were executed before each benchmark was performed. Each benchmark was performed two to three (2-3) times and the averaged results are reported below.

Note: The Monorail 133 system did not support the Bigfoot hard drive, so benchmark results could not be obtained.
