Cyrix Announces Board of Directors Change

Richardson, Texas -- April 8, 1997 -- Cyrix Corporation (NASDAQ: CYRX) today announced that Jerry Rogers has resigned from the board to pursue other interests. Mr. Rogers will not stand for reelection at the upcoming Annual Stockholders Meeting on April 17, 1997. "Jerry was instrumental in bringing Cyrix to where it is today in the marketplace as both the former CEO and a Board member.
